NFL Week 9 Recap: Untimely Tweets, a Rouch Trip to the Stadium and Mexican Pizza

At about this time last year, then Lions receiver Nate Burleson broke his arm during an automobile accident involving one vehicle and two pizzas. Details are still a little fuzzy, but he evidently lost control of his car, made a valiant effort to save his dinner, which he’d left in the back seat, and ended up breaking his arm in a couple spots and missing a large slice of the 2013 season. That was, to the best of my knowledge, the only pizza-related NFL injury… until Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall tore his Achilles a few days ago. In Hall’s defense, he was already hurt. He originally tore the tendon in a game against the Eagles last month. He was healing up nicely but then slipped and fell in his kitchen while retrieving a late night snack.
